For generations, reindeer have played an important role in the life and culture of Northern Norway. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about these fascinating animals and experience a unique part of Arctic life.

After meeting the reindeer, you will be invited into our hotel's traditional lavvu (Sámi tent). Here, you can enjoy the cosy atmosphere around a crackling fire, warm up with a delicious hot drink, and experience the peace and charm that make winter in Northern Norway so special.

After your outdoor experience, a delicious lunch awaits you in the restaurant at Lyngenfjord Hotel.

We will serve our hotel's homemade reindeer soup, inspired by local culinary traditions. This flavourful and warming dish is the perfect way to round off a memorable Arctic experience after spending time outdoors in the fresh northern air.

Join us for breakfast with our reindeer at 12:00 PM every day! Get up close to our beautiful reindeer, feed them by hand, and enjoy a magical encounter with these fascinating Arctic animals.
